Our Instructors
At Texas Surf Camps, we value our instructors over any other business asset. Our instructors are the foundation of the surf camp and are the ones that ensure your children's safety while surfing with us. All of our instructors are certified in CPR and First Aid and some also have lifeguard certifications as well. Here is a page dedicated to our awesome instructors. We are ready to show your kids the summer experience of their lives.
Brittany is likely the best female surfer to come out of Texas. She has won multiple state titles and had a podium finish in the Nationals in California. Morgan's long-time girlfriend, Brittany and Morgan have spent over half their lives together in the water surfing. Brittany was instrumental in the creation of Texas Surf Camps and has been a very important part since then. She continues to give back to the sport by helping at camp and also coaching young up and comers in the competitive circuit. Everyone wants to get a lesson from Brittany!
Tristan, or "Big T" as he is called, has been at Texas Surf Camps since the beginning 7 years ago. He is one of Morgan's best friends growing up surfing together in Port Aransas. Tristan also holds multiple Texas State Championships and has competed across the nation. Tristan is originally from England and then moved to Hawaii and now resides here in Texas. Tristan is the leader of the "Wolfpack". This is our oldest group in surf camp (ages 12 and up) and he makes sure they are prepared to surf on their own by the end of the session. Every camper who is part of the Wolfpack always talks about how awesome Tristan is and all the younger campers look forward to graduating to the Wolfpack.
Steve was first introduced to us 3 years ago through our mutual friend Tristan. Steve has been with Texas Surf Camps ever since then. His calm, cool attitude is the envy of all. Steve is also a part of the Wolfpack and also filled in as director last year while Morgan was running the camp in Galveston. Needless to say, everyone had an awesome time with Steve and the boys. Steve is originally from the Gulf Coast of Florida so he is very familiar with the Gulf waters.
Alex has more wit than 100 of these surf crazy kids. Alex has been the leader of our youngest group for 2 years now. The young ones love Alex as he has lots of energy to expend with them. Alex is also a mechanical mastermind. He has helped the surf camp through many dilemmas like broken boards, broken trucks, etc. But watch out, no throwing sand!
Craig is also a leader of our youngest group. He and Alex have been friends since childhood which makes them a perfect team at Texas Surf Camps. Craig also found out that he has an incredible style on a soft top surfboard and is considering a professional career at this point. He still would never trade anything for time spent in the water with the kids, surfing.
Madison is one of our newest instructors but is definitely our most seasoned veteran. She has not missed a day of camp since we started 6 years ago. Maddy is a great young surfer. She just started surfing contests this year and smoked the competition at the CC Open. We are proud to see one of our campers stick with surfing this long and now join the force as an instructor.
